Aleksey was born Provence (France), 21 years ago. Early in life she is attracted to various materials and mediums : at 4 years old she starts painting and drawing, reading books about sculpture and archeology.
With time, her pronounced curiosity for art and history grows and extends to other domains.
At 16 she becomes interested in portrait photography. From photo reports to shootings, she ends up in Arles in July 2013, invited by photographer Peter Henri Stein to exhibit during the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie. Lucien Clergue notices her and this marks the beginning of a fertile collaboration.
In March 2014, she temporarily joined Lucien Clergue's team, which led her to concretise and polish her photographic training. She spends her time between the laboratory and shooting with Lucien Clergue, for whom she also poses. During the 2014 exibition at the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d'Arles, where she exposed again, she was interviewed by Arte ("Carte Post Arles", realised october 17th 2014)
A part of Aleksey's work deals with feminism, symbolised by blood from menstruation and feminine defloration.
Aleksey takes self-portraits, independently or accompanied by her models, who follow her into unusual situations and places. Attracted and inspired by adventure, she will not hesitate to put herself in danger to obtain the shots she desires.
Recently published in l'Oeil de la Photographie, and in the Dadaist magazine "ADADA" she is currently working on various photography projects and exhibits.
